Community and Volunteers

Below are some recent statistics from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

  • 1 in 6 U.S. youth aged 6-17 experience a mental health disorder each year
  • 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24
  • Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-34

It's time that we, as a community, change the trajectory for these teens and young adults.  Hope Social is a new program designed to bring teens and young adults together to connect with one another in a non-clinical setting, as they learn tools for healing and living their best life.

Having a strong support system is one of the most vital components in healing.  It is our hope that our community will join us as we support these young people on their journey.  Connect with us if you are interested in volunteering, want to help with a scholarship, or have a skill/gift/talent to share (playing guitar, singing, teaching line dancing, baking, yoga, self-defense skills, art etc…). We encourage people who have overcome their own difficulties to join us, and share your triumphs and experience with the youth.  As a community, let’s surround these kids with love and hope for a beautiful future.
